Genoa CFC are celebrating the work of artist Lele Luzzati by collaborating with Casa Luzzati to design a limited-edition collection. Headlining the capsule is two special Genoa jersey’s which incorporate Luzzati’s unique creative style.
Genoa born and bred, Emanuele Luzzati was an Italian painter, production designer, illustrator, film director and animator – a master in every field of applied art. Casa Luzzati keep the vision of the artist alive since his death by allowing people to rediscover his art through exhibitions. Genoa CFC have chosen to team up with them to pay homage to the work of the genius himself, with a limited collection of unique jerseys and t-shirts. The jerseys have been designed to capture an essence of Luzzati's work by blending Genoa CFC DNA with the artists' creative flow.
Looking closer at the special edition jersey's, the classic Genoa style is reimagined with touches of creativity. The word 'Genoa' is printed across the front of the piece, composed of the bespoke hand-written letters of Luzzati. Both home and away jerseys pull on the same colours as the official ones for the 24/25 season, in the traditional colours of red and navy. The home features the established club crest on the chest, whilst the away adorns the famous Griffin – a symbol of the passion of the Genovese. Embellished onto the sleeves is the San Giorgio shield, adding the final touches of heritage.
Aside from the home and away jersey, a lifestyle t-shirt was also designed with a spotlight on a large Griffin which takes over the centre of the shirt which is completed with a flag of the globally recognised Genoa CFC club crest. Kit providers, Kappa, also feature their Omini logo on all pieces.
