Manchester United & adidas Unveil New Home Kit Inspired By Old Trafford

The Theatre of Dreams may have been a sleeping giant in previous years but Manchester United are looking to wake up with a new look for a new chapter in club history. Adidas have designed a new home kit for 2025/26, inspired by the historic Old Trafford and crafted to drag the Red Devils back to the top of English football once again.

Manchester United may not be the English giants we once knew on the pitch, but the stature of the club remains as they strive for future success. To look the part, adidas have crafted a clean home kit for 2025/26 – an important season for Ruben Amorim’s team to take back their rightful place in the league.  Tradition and history sit at the heart of the design, drawing inspiration from the iconic home stadium of the Red Devils. Old Trafford is far more than a stadium, it’s a cultural, historical and emotional cornerstone of the club’s identity. As a symbol of ambition and hope, it was only right that adidas use this to dress the team in a suit fit for success.

Looking closer at the jersey, the base feature that classic United deep red, maintaining tradition and the club’s blood ‘Red Devil’ identity. Black detailing amongst the shoulder and sleeves bring a darker tone to the design, feeding into the United redemption arc aesthetic, whilst black piping also adds an extra layer to the jersey. Pristine white pops off the returned Snapdragon sponsor as well as the adidas logo, whilst also adorning a subtle striping across a ribbed v-neck for a refined look.

Each sleeve is draped in a distinctive graphic pattern, acting as a modern reinterpretation of Old Trafford’s iconic red brick exterior – particularly the renowned Stretford End. Meanwhile, the body of the jersey features added texturing through subtle mimicking of brickwork geometry, another homage to their home and what it means. The final tribute to Old Trafford sits on the back of the collar, where a 'Theatre of Dreams' sign off is stamped – a direct nod to the stadium's infamous nickname.

Manchester United fans can only hope that this new kit marks a new chapter for the club in their strive for success. Only time will tell...
