Draped in tradition and club identity, River Plate unveil both home and away kits for next season. The home jersey arrives reminiscent of the 2015 Copa Libertadores champions whilst the away pulls inspiration from a historic celebration from the club’s past success – ticking off all the boxes ahead of the Club World Cup.
River Plate, a club who embody history and identity in the best way possible, have dropped their home and away kits for next season. Both jerseys, set to make their debut at the Club World Cup this month, each bring their own essence of tradition and innovation to the pitch using the classic white, red and blacks of Los Millonarios. Their 43-year partnership with adidas continues as the Three Stripes return to design a fresh twist on previous years. It is every bit traditional as it is distinctive.
Arriving with that established red diagonal sash across a white base, the home jersey is everything a River Plate jersey should be – classic, clean and respected. With the return of the three red stripes on the cuffs of the sleeves, the jersey is reminiscent of the one worn during the 2015 Copa Libertadores final win – a momentous time in River Plate history.
Moving onto the away jersey, which choses a predominantly black base paired with dark red stripes and white accents. The kit draws inspiration from a historic celebration during the success of the 1975 Metropolitano championship, where a black and red hot air balloon was used. Subtle piping down the sides, three stripes cascading down the shoulders, and a two tone collar finish off this clean look.
Keep an eye out on the FIFA Club World Cup starting 14 June to see River plate and multiple other clubs debut their new home and away kits.
