adidas x Newcastle United Drop 90s-Inspired Design For The 25/26 Third Kit

Bringing retro energy to a new era, adidas and Newcastle United have just unveiled the Magpies’ 2025/26 third kit – and it's an instant classic. Inspired by the iconic 1997/98 third shirt, the latest drop is a pitch-perfect blend of past and present, dialled up with contemporary swagger and designed with collectors, fans, and football romantics firmly in mind.

The Newcastle 25/26 third jersey from adidas lands in a bold fusion of burnt orange and deep green set on a navy base – a sharp, standout palette that nods to late-90s design DNA while looking every bit the part in the modern football landscape. Anchoring the shirt’s look is the return of the embroidered Trefoil adidas logo, a stitched Newcastle crest, and those unmistakable adidas EQT flat knit collars and cuffs. Paired with matching navy shorts and socks, punctuated by clean orange three-stripe detailing and a signature Trefoil sign-off, the full kit screams sophistication with a street-ready edge.

Peter Silverstone, Newcastle United’s Chief Commercial Officer, captured the spirit of the release perfectly: “This third kit is a powerful blend of past and present – a bold design that reflects both our proud history and the exciting journey ahead... Our passionate global fanbase will see this and wear it with pride, especially as we return to the UEFA Champions League for the second time in three years.

The kit will make its on-pitch debut when the Magpies face Celtic in the first-ever adidas Trophy – a fitting stage for a look that’s built on heritage, made for the now.
