FC Augsburg Celebrate Swabia With A Bold Away Jersey For 2025/26

FC Augsburg and Mizuno pay tribute to the club’s home region with their new, distinctive away look for 2025/26. The launch expresses their love for Swabia’s natural beauty, whilst drawing inspiration from Bavarian cultural identity to produce a one-of-a-kind Augsburg look for next season.

Bundesliga side FC Augsburg have revealed their new away kit for 25/26, dubbed as the ‘Swabia Kit’. Far more than just a shirt, this release acts as a love letter to their home region, a feeling that his been stitched into every piece of fabric.

Carrying the motto ‘Swabia is more than just a region – Swabia is a feeling’, the shirt delves deep into Bavarian Swabia’s cultural and natural identity, drawing inspiration from the Swabian flag. Draped in a bold red, the shirt features yellow accents amongst the collar and cuffs, which replicate the designs of the Swabian coat of arms. Meanwhile, a jacquard style pattern elevates the simple red base with a rich, tactile finish. The design subtly nods to Swabian heritage with abstract design cues that have been pulled from the region’s symbols. To finish the look off the actual Swabian coat of arms is stamped on the back of the collar – sitting with pride.

For the launch, FC Augsburg wanted to bring the feeling of the region to life with a unique campaign video. Shot across the Swabia’s most iconic backdrops, from the city of Augsburg city to the serene Hegratsrieder Lake, the video acts as a cinematic journey through the region, celebrating its beauty and distinctive nature. The storytelling centres around a young couple exploring the landscapes, evoking a sense of romanticising the shirt with an essence of home and nostalgia.
