Genoa CFC Unveil Daring New Home Shirt for 25/26 With Kappa

Genoa CFC have ripped up the script for the 2025/26 season, unveiling a bold new home kit from Kappa that rewrites tradition with unapologetic flair.

If consistency in the kit world was rewarded, then Genoa would be smashing it, with long-standing technical sponsor Kappa churning out hit after hit for the Italian club in recent years. For 25/26, it's much of the same, with the partnership leaning into a powerful visual reinvention, introducing a home shirt design that strips things back to amplify identity and intent.

At the centre of it all? The Grifone. No longer confined within the traditional crest, Genoa’s mythical griffin takes centre stage on the left chest — unchained and alone, but more evocative than ever. It's a move that speaks volumes; part homage, part rebellion, and wholly Genoa. The decision to deconstruct the club’s historic crest may ruffle feathers in the old guard, but this is a shirt born to resonate with those who bleed rossoblù.

Elsewhere, it’s the details that elevate. Yellow trims on the collar and sleeve cuffs throw an unexpected but welcome curveball, lifting the iconic red and blue palette with a nod to the gold framing of the original crest. It’s subtle, but unmistakably sharp — giving the shirt a glow that matches its campaign message: "BORN TO SHINE".

The launch campaign, conceived with creative agency No Panic and captured through the distinctive lens of photographer Paolo Pettigiani, sees the shirt embedded into the lifeblood of the city. From the sweeping views atop Spianata Castelletto to the shadowed textures of the historic carruggi, the imagery is all about connection — between the club, its home, and its people.

There’s something deeply rooted here, even in the modernisation. The St George’s Cross — a symbol of Genoa since 1913 — remains proudly stitched on the back of the collar. It’s a reminder that while the visuals may evolve, the identity stays unshakable.

For a club steeped in history but unafraid to challenge convention, this kit is more than just a fresh look — it’s a statement. The Grifone isn’t just flying solo; it’s soaring.
