Nottingham Forest and adidas are reviving the iconic stripes as they unveil the new home shirt for 2025/26. As a year of European football beckons, the Reds are celebrating a rich 160-year history by drawing inspiration from the past whilst they re-establish themselves as a football giant in the modern day game.

Nottingham forest and kit provider adidas have revealed the home kit for 2025/26, and it is a beauty. Forest stand as one of the beautiful game’s true originals and this season marks a landmark 160th anniversary for the club. The new home threads for 25/26 nod to that rich legacy, a design that screams nostalgia for those older generation supporters, whilst still resonating with a new generation of young fans. As the Reds prepare for their return to European football, the shirt arrives as a symbol of both heritage and progress, almost a bridge between their past glories and a future fuelled by ambition and hope.

The Reds see a fresh design ahead of the new season, as adidas dial up their attention ahead of a huge season for the club. Blending heritage and innovation, the Three Stripes produce a timeless look, whether it is on the pitch, in the stands, or in the streets. Taking inspiration from that iconic Forest era from the 80s and 90s, the stripes make their return onto the club home shirt for the first time in seven years – a traditional look fans can’t help but love, reminding them of a time full of European success.

But now, 30 years later, European football is on the horizon once more, and Forest will be sure to leave it all out there for a season that hopefully will long live in fans’ memories. Much like the early 90’s shirts, the 25/26 home kit models a classic fold-over collar – a feature which hasn’t been seen in a Nottingham shirt for years and will be welcomed back kindly. The shirt will be paired with white shorts that feature a vivid red across adidas' Three Stripes, as well as red socks with a 'NFFC' sign off.

The 2025/26 home threads will be debuted on 12 July when Forest take on Chesterfield FC for their firts pre-season fixture of the year.
