Aston Villa & adidas Reveal Trefoil-Emblazoned 25/26 Third Shirt

Aston Villa and adidas have dropped the third shirt for the 2025/26 season, and it’s one steeped in heritage, filtered through a contemporary lens. A design that takes its cue from the iconic stained glass windows of Villa Park, this one feels like a jersey that belongs both in the terraces and in the galleries.

The stained glass has been a permanent fixture at Villa Park since its opening in 1897, a detail that is more than just decoration — it’s a symbol of the club’s soul. For the first time, adidas have channelled that architecture into fabric form, creating a third shirt for 25/26 that feels more like a canvas than a template. A light base sets the stage for abstract, swirling shapes in soft tones of blue, pink and purple, echoing the luminous play of light through glass. Subtle maroon trims on the shoulders tie the design back to Villa’s DNA, while the club’s lion crest sits proudly at the heart of it all.

What makes this drop even more significant is the presence of the adidas Trefoil. Making its Aston Villa debut, the logo bridges football culture and streetwear, nodding to a fresh era of collaboration while elevating the shirt beyond the pitch.

Speaking on the release, the club said: “We are delighted to present this unique third kit for 2025/26, which includes the adidas Trefoil logo for the first time. The stained glass windows are synonymous with Villa Park and are a unifying factor of the matchday experience for generations of fans. We are very pleased that adidas have brought their unique brilliance to life with this design.

The 2025/26 Aston Villa third kit is available now at Villa Park, Bullring, shop.avfc.co.uk/select and select adidas stores and adidas.co.uk/football-jerseys.
