Venezia & NOCTA Redefine Goalkeeper Style With 25/26 Standalone Drop

Most clubs treat goalkeeper shirts as an afterthought — a supporting act revealed quietly alongside the outfield kits. Venezia FC? They’ve never been “most clubs.” For 25/26, the club and NOCTA have gone rogue again, breaking from convention with a standalone goalkeeper release that justifies its own spotlight. This is not an accessory to the main collection. This is it's own main event.

Following the lauded debut of their Home and Away shirts, Venezia’s “Home Ground” campaign takes its third step with a set of goalkeeper jerseys that reject the bland functionalism of the modern era. Rooted in the fearless visual experimentation of 1990s shot-stoppers, the collection reimagines that golden age through a lens only Venezia could offer — part high fashion, part street energy, part lagoon dreamscape.

The 25/26 Goalkeeper Home Jersey brings gold back into play, instantly bringing the third shirt from the 22/23 season. It also comes draped in NOCTA’s signature star pattern — a subtle constellation inspired by the night sky above the lagoon. The luminous base is broken only by a bold black “Venezia” wordmark, club crest, and NOCTA mark. In true homage to the era it references, it comes only in long sleeves, and is available in both lifestyle and match editions, the latter featuring Cynar Spritz branding.

The 25/26 Goalkeeper Away Jersey takes the opposite approach — fuchsia chaos layered with spray-textured graphics and abstract lion motifs. It’s keeper kit as urban art, unapologetic in colour and composition, designed to make a statement before a ball has even been kicked. Like its counterpart, it comes in long sleeves only, with both lifestyle and match-ready versions on offer.

Conceived by Diego Moscosoni and Ariel Mojetta, the pair of shirts prove that Venezia and NOCTA’s partnership isn’t just about football clothing — it’s about creating cultural artefacts. Technical fabrics and performance fits meet symbolism, storytelling, and fearless design.

At the heart of the drop is legendary multimedia artist Fabrizio Plessi, a pioneer of video art and one of Venice’s most iconic cultural figures. Shot in front of one of his own works, Plessi embodies the campaign’s core idea: the jersey as canvas, the keeper as performer, the pitch as stage. Around him, poet-painter Solange Smith and contemporary artists Carlo Braidotti, Red Longo, and Diana Hlushach bring further depth, while lifelong supporters keep the connection to the terraces alive. The message is clear — in Venice, art and football speak the same language.

The shirts will debut on 16 August in the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa clash with Mantova, before making their league bow against Bari on 24 August. Expect them to stand out — not just because they’re bright, but because they’re doing what goalkeeper kits used to do best: demand attention.
