After a home and away kit drop that turned heads, Genoa CFC and Kappa are back, celebrating their 132 year anniversary in style with the 25/26 third kit. This one arrives in an aesthetic that fans can’t help but recognise, taking inspiration from an iconic fan-written anthem.

132 years deep and Genoa CFC are still setting the standard. The club are celebrating their 132 year birthday with something other than cake and candles, unveiling a kit that hits hard. The 25/26 third kit is pulled straight from the soul of ‘Un Cantico per il Mio Grifone’ – the fan written battle hymn that has echoed around the Luigi Ferraris stadium since ’72.

Written in 1972 by Peo Campodonico and Gian Piero Reverberi, the anthem was chosen by fans themselves in a competition that crowned it as the heartbeat of Genoa CFC. Five daces later, and It’s words no longer just fill the stadium with noise, they’re sewn into the fabric of the club’s latest kit. The line ‘With red shorts and a blue shirt’ has been brought to life in literal fashion for 2025/26. History reimagined.

Kappa continue to blend football with fashion as they include the logo of their streetwear label ‘Kappa Authentic’ for the first time on a Genoa CFC shirt, making this piece perfect for both the streets and the pitch. With this shirt, minimalism stays strong, with the subtle details speaking the loudest. A vintage style lace-up collar throws it back to football’s origins, whilst silver accents nod to nobility and legacy – symbols of the club’s historic legacy. A deep blue engulfs the design, dominating the retro feel that Kappa often nail whilst still sparking feels of innovation and clean aesthetics.
