Adidas have just pulled off one of the wildest crossovers yet, teaming up with Real Madrid, Marvel, and the All Blacks. Yes, you heard that right. The four have unveiled a capsule collection that feels like sports meet comic book chaos, blending football, rugby, and superhero energy for something we have never seen before.
This is one you probably didn't see coming. And neither did we. Adidas have linked up with three giants of culture, sport and storytelling for a crossover unlike any other. Marvel, Real Madrid, and the All Blacks collide in a collection that’s straight out of another alternative universe.
The collection is built around a graphic novel storyline that united football, rugby and superheroes under the name of ‘Defend Our Pitch’. The capsule feels like sport rewritten with comic-book adrenaline. The plot unfolds across two cathedrals of competition, from the Bernabéu to the All Black’s training ground. In true comic storytelling, a ROXXON satellite tears a hole in reality, opening a door for Ultron and his army to drop in uninvited. Chaos hits the streets of Madrid and Aotearoa. The Avengers pull up (as they do) and suddenly the pitch which we once knew as home to the beautiful game becomes the battleground for war.
Now, back into reality. The collection mirrors the energy of this story. Heavy foundations, hit with crisp white and yellow graphic. Clean, sharp, and definitely one-of-a-kind. Making up the capsule is a mix of tees, long sleeves, a hoodie, track top & pants, and shorts. All of which carry that Marvel charge whilst still keeping that unmistakable adidas DNA. Sportswear sharpened with a story.
