FC Versailles & Kappa Drop a Dual-Identity Third Shirt Pack Drenched in Gold

Doubling down on their golden ambition, FC Versailles and Kappa have dropped a bold two-part third-shirt release for 25/26. Blending royal heritage with contemporary street attitude, the duo of designs offers fans a choice in how they represent Versailles — refined, urban, or somewhere in between — all wrapped in that unmistakable gold.

FC Versailles and Kappa have never been shy of leaning into the royalty baked into the club’s name, but for 2025 they’ve taken things up a level — or rather, split it in two. In a move that feels as daring as it is deliberate, the club and brand have unveiled two distinct third-shirt designs, each crafted from the same golden fabric but carrying completely different energies. One speaks to the palace; the other speaks to the pavement. Together, they form a collection that invites supporters to choose their flavour of Versailles.

Retaining the regal streak that defined last season’s shirts — kept on for another year because, frankly, they slapped — the first of the new third-shirt pair is Versailles in full stately mode. This is the refined one. Understated, poised, and steeped in architectural influence, it features a subtle d-bossed pattern that adds texture without shouting. Those vertical lines aren’t just lines; they’re a nod to the symmetry and shine of the Palace of Versailles itself. Add in the elegant “Versailles” typography and you get a shirt that feels like walking through the Hall of Mirrors in footballing form.

If the first shirt is heritage, the second is heat. The more contemporary of the two, it hits with a retro-street hybrid that pushes Versailles into bolder territory. A navy blue stripe slices straight through the centre, climbing the collar and spilling onto the shoulders and sleeves, all bordered in crisp white. Inside that stripe sit a trio of symbols: the fleur-de-lys, the historic emblem of Versailles; the sun, referencing the city's kingly legacy; and Kappa’s omini, which stretch down the sleeves in that unmistakable ‘banda’ layout. It’s football meets street culture, with enough graphic punch to stand strong beyond matchday.

Despite their contrasting personalities, both shirts keep the club’s signature gold at their core — not a gimmick, but an identity marker. Gold as prestige, gold as ambition, gold as light. The colour ties the pair together in a way that feels more curated capsule than simple kit drop. Both versions come in short- and long- sleeve formats, doubling down on personal expression: choose your Versailles.

What Kappa and FC Versailles have built here isn’t just a set of kits — it’s a wearable narrative. Technical Italian craftsmanship meets French elegance, mixing the city’s royal past with the modern culture pulsing through its streets. It’s a collection that respects history while refusing to be defined by it.

Two shirts. One club. One gold identity — interpreted your way.

The new Kappa x FC Versailles jerseys are available now on the club's official stores and on Kappa.fr
