Venezia FC and NOCTA are back at it, unveiling the 25/26 Special Edition Fourth Jersey — a release that once again blurs the line between football, fashion and cultural storytelling. Designed by Drake Ramberg, the shirt is rooted in the element that defines Venice more than any other: water.

The jersey forms the centrepiece of Siamo Nati Sull’Acqua (Born on the Water), a campaign that frames water as origin, movement and shared identity — the force that shaped the city and continues to connect everyone who calls it home. True to Venezia’s now-signature approach, the club has pulled in voices from Venice’s contemporary creative community, turning the launch into a collective expression of belonging rather than a standalone product drop. But should this arguably just have been their fourth shirt in the first place?

Visually, the concept translates into layered shades of blue, designed to echo the depth and constant motion of the lagoon. The tones shift across the fabric, mirroring water in flux — calm one moment, restless the next. That said, there’s an argument to be made that this is essentially a blue rework of Venezia’s current fourth shirt. If history is anything to go by, it’ll be interesting to see whether — like the red iteration — a stripped-back version is required when the jersey makes its on-pitch debut on 10 February, when Venezia host Modena at the Pier Luigi Penzo Stadium.

Still, the thinking behind the shirt is very much on brand for a club that has built a global reputation on narrative-led design. As Tancredi Vitale, Managing Director of Venezia FC, explains: “This project continues the narrative that defines Venezia FC: a Club deeply rooted in and inseparable from its city, yet driven by a bold, contemporary, and global creative language. With the 25/26 Special Edition Fourth Jersey, we wanted to create something that authentically brings together design, culture, and community—true to Venice and meaningful beyond its borders. The campaign reflects our belief that football can act as a cultural platform, capable of connecting people, disciplines, and stories through a shared sense of belonging.” Again, it feels like this would have been more impactful if it had been the club's fourth shirt from the outset, rather than a fifth option for the season.

Whether viewed as a poetic evolution or a familiar silhouette dressed in new tones, the Venezia x NOCTA Special Edition Fourth Jersey exists as the latest instalment in the club's repertoire. Is the current trajectory of their kit output on the up? Well, that's another conversation.

The Venezia 25/26 special edition fourth kit is available at the club's online store.
