adidas Freefootball X-Pro Football Shoes - Black/Silver/Pop
Resembling the former Freefootball X-ite models from afar - yet updated with new details - adidas have unveiled the new Freefootball X-Pro shoes, designed to assist players on the 5-a-side pitch.
Adidas have turned their innovative focus to the smaller sided game for the New Year. For the new design, pairing a Touch compound grid with a 'free-kick' synthetic leather upper for better feel and cushioning, and accompanied with a new five-a-side stud configuration for grip.
The synthetic upper, affectionately named 'Free-kick' leather by adidas, has a lower profile for a more snug fit and superior ball feel. The surface structure of the Freefootball shoes is benefited from a Touch compound grid for enhanced ball touch and control. The upper has also been crafted with highly abrasion-resistant synthetic overlay for enhanced protection in the toe and heel area.
Inside the adidas soccer shoes, a pre-molded EVA midsole with an ADIPRENE insert in the heel allows for greater comfort and shock absorption. The ADIPRENE is a highly shock absorbent material that cushions and protects your heel at impact. And pushing their agenda of personal training and improvement, the midsole is miCoach compatible to house the SPEEDCELL.
The outsole is non-marking, and is a low-profile flexible five-a-side outsole engineered for quick moves and ball touch. Rounded forefoot and heel studs combine with triangular TRAXION 2.0 studs for control and acceleration.
Some well-placed colour pops come courtesy of the contrasting black panelling and red colour. These serve to accentuate both style and function, as the 'Pop' red highlights areas of comfort, the compound grid, and adidas and Freefootball branding.
The adidas Freefootball X-Pro football shoes will likely release early 2013, and are expected to retail around £75 GBP / $100 USD / € 80 EURO for the top end X-Pro versions.
