adidas adizero F50 Football Boots - Enlightened Pack
After seeing them feature in the UEFA Champions League this week we're taking a closer look at the adidas F50 adizero Enlightened Pack editions. Black out versions featuring reflective exposure innovation were rolled out across all of adidas' silos this week and adidas players including Claudio Pizarro, Marcelo and Morata laced up under the lights in the F50.
Black F50's always pack a mean stealth look and adidas have added to that by dropping their new technology onto the stripes and laces of the boots which captures and rebounds the light of floodlights and cameras to create a unique piece of innovation - The first time anything like this has been incorporated onto a boot collection.
The three stripes on the outstep and instep of the F50 light up when caught at the right angle by the floodlights, much in the same way that running or cycling clothing is made to reflect car headlights at night. Whether you're sold by the reflective aspect or not, it's hard to deny that this is one of the best looking F50's yet.
As you can see from the images above, the top photo is with the camera's flash on, hence the reflection factor making the stripes bright and the bottom photo is with the flash off, which is how the boots look in normal light. Got it? Good.
Speed boots often get slapped with bright, experimental colourways which can scare players away but the Enlightened F50 will be welcomed by players who seek the lightest boot possible in a more traditional colourway. It's bad news however for players who prefer the synthetic upper as the Enlightened Pack F50 will only be released in leather.
Techwise the F50 adizero offer a snug fit and amazing natural ball feel. The boots feature a moulded adidas Traxion 2.0 stud configuration for maximum acceleration and responsive braking on firm ground. Under the hood it's the usual stuff again from the F50, interior Sprintweb to increase lateral stability and support across the mid-foot and the micoach cavity so you can track your progress.
