Nike Launch Full Magista Line-Up Including Magista Opus
Like the look of the Nike Magista Obra but not convinced by the Dynamic Fit Collar, Flyknit upper and the slighty hefty price tag? Well you're probably not the only one who's a little wary of jumping in at the deep end. Today Nike have launched their full Magista line-up including the standard-cut Magista 'Opus' that comes in at approx £50.00 cheaper than the mid-cut Obra.
Launched last month and released as a direct replacement for the long stand CTR360 silo, the Magista, as Nike put it, has changed the landscape of football boot design forever. Redefining the concept of how a football boot looks and performs, the headline Magista Obra featured a dynamic fit collar and Flyknit technology. However Nike realise revolution doesn't happen over night and are therefore offering players the choice.
For the Magista Opus, Nike Flyknit is replaced by a combination of NIKESKIN performance mesh and soft and water-resistant Kanga-Lite. The performance mesh upper material has been designed to provided a close ball feel and a soft, adaptable fit.
The laces of the Nike Magista Opus have been moved towards the medial side of the boot, creating a larger area to control the ball while a textured Kanga-Lite cage delivers optimal ball touch and Nike's ACC treatment ensures consistent performance in all weather conditions.
From here on in the Opus and Obra are pretty much the same; both feature a lightweight, supportive and responsive nylon chassis that extends to the big toe for first metatarsal agility. A Pebax base allows for flexibility and increased movement with the foot and an entirely conical stud configuration is designed for quick ground penetration and 360° rotational traction.
