The next limited edition re-release to pull on your Predator heartstrings is adidas Predator Instinct Accelerator, the second in the adidas “Revenge Pack” after the adidas Predator Instinct 94. The nostalgia inducing boots pay tribute to what many would label as the greatest ever Predator, made famous largely through the actions of Zinedine Zidane who gave the boots global recognition by scoring two goals in the final of the 1998 World Cup.
The second boot in the series combines the iconic design of the original with the modern elements of the Predator Instinct. The boots most recognisable features, including the forefoot rubber vamps, large red fold-over tongue, unconventional three-stripes, ‘adidas Equipment’ logo and transparant outsole all feature on the modernised Predator Instinct Accelerator. A beauty of a boot that still looks a cut above anything else in the game.
The original adidas Predator Accelerator which launched in 1998, succeeding the adidas Predator Touch in 1996, was the first football boot to include asymmetrical loop lacing, providing a larger, cleaner kicking surface by tucking away the laced for an improved striking area on top of the boots. The new lacing system combined with redesigned rubber vamps which were less pronounced so more boot surface came into contact with the ball.
