adidas team up with Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto to release second limited edition adizero f50.
Following the launch of the original adidas Yamamoto adizero f50 in 2013, the three stripes continue their collaboration with Yohji Yamamoto into the new season, letting the Japanese fashion designer loose on his second limited edition adizero f50. The result is another outrageous design that’s even crazier than the last. Coming in a combined blue and green colourway, the design of the boots has been placed in the context of Japan’s modern sci-fi culture, creating “a spiritual connection between the past and the future”.
The boots launch in line with the new, limited edition adidas Real Madrid third kit, which has also been given the Yohji Yamamoto signature treatment and will be worn by the club in this season’s Champions League. Yamamoto has been a long term adidas collaborator, previously working on the adidas Y-3 label and the 2006 Y-3 +f50 Tunit collection.
