Under Armour have lifted the lid on their most impressive football boot to date in the shape of the SpeedForm. Dropping as their most technologically advanced silo and worn by Manchester United new boy Memphis Depay SpeedForm arrives with a number of unique features under the hood.
The brand have overtaken adidas as they industry's second most successful brand in the United States and if you weren't already taking their assault on soccer seriously then you should be now. Engineered by Under Armour to cater for the needs of the speed player the brand have designed a boot with customised fit for all players.
Tech-wise you're looking at a close-fitting low profile, one-piece upper and articulated toe box. The SpeedForm also features a lightweight chrome sole-plate for optimal traction to generate an explosive first step. The most impressive assets are the seamless heel cup and seamless, no-sock liner construction, which provides a natural connection to the ground to maximize acceleration and change of direction as well as eliminating the need for a break-in period.
Weighing in at 210g the SpeedForm isn't the lightest boot in the market but those extra, let's face it, unnoticeable grams offer extra comfort and improved moulded fit.
The Under Armour SpeedForm will be available from select online stockists including Pro-Direct Soccer from June 1.
