PUMA peel off the 3D Camo wrap to unveil their lightest ever match day football boot - the evoSPEED SL. Tipping the scales at a mere 103g the evoSPEED SL kicks of the fourth generation silo as PUMA update their speed collection in time for the new season.
The PUMA evoSPEED SL has been designed to keep weight to an absolute minimum, sacrificing any unnecessary or excess materials in search of producing a match fit boot as close to 100g as possible. A new laser cut speed frame is introduced to support the upper and the stud configuration sees a unique change with the three-stud design on the heel. For a brand that has Usain Bolt amongst their ranks they know a thing or two about speed.
The fourth generation evoSPEED boot sees the 'PUMA' branding moved to the front of the instep on both the SL and standard editions as PUMA update the aesthetics for a fresh feel going into the 2015/16 season with a bright Lava Blast/White/Total Orange combo.
Naturally the durability of such a lightweight boot will be questioned and that's where the evoSPEED SL comes with a catch. PUMA drop in a disclaimer explaining that the boots will only be match fit for a small number of games, making them more of a collectors item or for players on a salary of those wearing the boots in the professional game.
