Nike's showpiece Mercurial Superfly IV boot is layered with leather as the Swoosh introduce the world of Flyknit innovation to the most traditional and purest form of football boot design.
Every now and again a boot arrives with that added extra buzz and what we're looking at here is a leather Superfly, this is big, this is next level. Nike have submerged all the ground-breaking technology of the Superfly in a thin layer of leather on the medial and lateral sides of the boot to bring a traditional ball feel to a silo that up until now has been anything but traditional.
The "Hyper Pink" vibe from the eccentric "Lightning Storm" edition has been swallowed up by the black upper to create a boot that brings together elements of subtle and loud design in a combination of exquisite style. Player wise it'll be Alexis Sanchez leading the 'Tech Craft' charge for Nike with a number of other Magista, Hypervenom and Tiempo players expected to follow suit.
