Umbro freshen up their football footwear collection as they look to maintain maximum on-pitch visibility throughout the darker evenings.
Umbro have won numerous admirers of the Velocita Pro in the past two seasons thanks to its simple but always tasty designs and this one is no different although it is somewhat over-complicated by the official colourway of "Green Gecko/Dark Navy/Andean Toucan/White". Andean Toucan is a new one for us - sounds like an unknown, overpriced-panic-buy teenager Sunderland would sign on transfer deadline day. 19-year-old Andean Toucan arrives on Wearside for £2.4 million having scored 24 goals in 16 games in the Maltese Premier League last season. Ya know?
Anyway... Back to the boots and Umbro have built a collection of smart Velocita offerings each of which weighing in at a very respectable 165g. That's lighter than the adidas X 15.1 and Nike Mercurial Vapor X. The "Green Gecko" wrap will land as Umbro's next official player supplied colourway and will be seen on the feet of their athletes in the coming weeks.
