The Messi Movement shifts another gear as adidas release the latest signature drop of the series to coincide with his return from injury.
Another year, another endless list of Messi achievements. League and cup titles, Champions League and Super Cup winners medals and a Copa América final appearance. Drop a signature boot silo in amongst that silverware and you're looking at a rather impressive twelve-month haul, even by Messi's standards. After a lengthy spell out due to injury the Barca man will return to the pitch wearing his trademark Messi silo wrapped in the latest paint job, a combination of Black, Solar Green & Solar Red.
A quick recap behind the concept of the Messi 15 boot explains that adidas see Messi as a player in his own category, above that of their two key silos Ace (Control) and X (Chaos). Adidas believe Messi has both these credentials in abundance and it's hard to disagree, which lead to the release of bespoke silo created exclusively for the Argentinean.
The first predominantly black standard edition of the Messi boot continues the theme set by the recent limited edition 10/10 release and is perhaps a nod to a more mature player. That black upper fades into Solar Red towards the heel at the messiFRAME representing the player's heat and intensity, whilst a large M-Shield logo dominates the forefoot.
