Risk in name, reliable in nature. Under Armour's latest Speedform piece adopts an aesthetically calming combination of classic red and white to drop as the new on-pitch vibe for winter.
Under Armour's top boy Memphis Depay has been sporting a pair for a couple of weeks now, giving his matchday uniform a tidy finish by combining the Speedform update with Manchester United's home kit. The Speedform arrived with a unique set of concepts and has so far delivered a series of smart designs and excluding the experimental Plasma and Multi-Camo drops the silo has produced a number of reliable two-toned colourways with the latest "Risk Red" edition providing a typically stylish example.
One of the hottest newcomers for the 2015/16 season, the Speedform arrived in the summer with a close-fitting low profile, one-piece upper and now trademark articulated toe box. Other features include a lightweight chrome sole-plate and seamless heel cup and no-sock liner construction. That's the science behind it anyway. The reality is that Under Armour are building a silo with variety, on-pitch presence and performance credentials.
