PUMA brighten up the dark nights with the first post-Christmas drop. The late arrival floats down the chimney in "Safety Yellow/Atomic Blue" wrapping paper and lands under the tree as the sixth edition to the current evoSPEED SL series.
A typically vibrant release, the latest paint update maintains the SL's loud exterior that covers a feather-light design weighing just 103g. Released at the beginning of the 2015/16 season, the evoSPEED SL has installed itself as one of the most talked about boot of the year due to its scale tickling weight and controversial '10 game only' tag, where PUMA inform you to keep the SL for match-days only. If you're a pro, brilliant. If you're not, expensive.
As per usual the evoSPEED SL is also released in leather (above) and the two-tone colour combo keeps things nice and simple whilst demanding a dominant on-pitch presence. Tech-wise it's as you were - meaning any unnecessary or excess materials and banished to keep the weight as close to 100g as possible and of course, to keep it match fit. The three-stud design on the heel of the boot gives the soleplate a distinct look as PUMA prioritise speed and for a brand that can boast Usain Bolt in the ranks we'll trust their knowledge on that subject.
