Making their final preparations for the end of season run in, adidas have released a new seasonally bright "White/Semi Solar Slime" design for their pool of X 15.1 players to wear as they enter the business end of the campaign.
With the X silo due a second-generation upgrade, what we're looking at here will be the final standard colour update of the X 15.1 before adidas unveil their new design to join the ACE 16 collection ahead of EURO 2016 and the Copa America this summer. As well as the synthetic collared design adidas have also dropped the "White/Semi Solar Slime" paint job onto a leather edition of the boot to keep the traditionalists on side.
The X 15.1 entered the market under a stormy cloud of Chaos as players took their time to adapt to the adidas revolution, but it exits as the boot that paved the way and laid the foundations for a new era of adidas football footwear. Consider the rule book shredded and the game disrupted. Job done.
