Nike continue their string of unpredictable disruptive drops with the launch of the Mercurial Superfly Heritage iD, a celebration of true football boot greatness.
Bringing the 1998 Mercurial R9 back in an unprecedented way, Nike are offering some re-skin options on the Mercurial Superfly IV and they're rather special. The limited edition designs succeed the Mercurial Vapor XV launched back in 2013 to celebrate 15 years of the iconic boot. As the Mercurial marks another milestone with the recent unveil of the new Mercurial Superfly V, Nike are honoring El Fenómeno once more.
Nike are offering a selection of four different schemes, marking the first time the ’98 Mercurial Vapor colorways are available on NIKEiD. The Mercurial’s iconic silver, yellow and blue colorway — worn by Ronaldo upon the boot’s 1998 debut in France — is available, as are black and white and black and blue styles that also draw inspiration from that first boot. An additional white and silver option boasts a volt Swoosh, adding a modern twist to the design.
The Nike Mercurial Superfly Heritage iD will be available for a limited time beginning May 9, exclusively at nike.com/NIKEiD
