Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Mexico ’86 World Cup, PUMA have reissued the boot that led Argentina and Diego Maradona to glory. A king for a king, it's a heritage beauty styled all over.
The Mexico ’86 World Cup will forever be associated with the name Diego Maradona. The PUMA King will forever be associated with the name Diego Maradona. His two-goal performance to down England in the quarter final was one of the finest showings ever seen. All of this happened in the PUMA Maradona Super. Three decades on, PUMA have remade the iconic boot with the original tongue, pattern and stitching, plus several unique design elements telling the stories of 1986.
Using the original sample from their archives, PUMA have recreated the Maradona Super according to the same specs used back in 1986. Keeping the remake authentic to the original materials and design, PUMA have used a classic profile with the finest kangaroo leather, along with the Super’s signature wing-tip toe detail. Additional details include Maradona’s famous number 10 embroidered on outside heel and a graphic that shows path Diego took to score the goal of the century.
