Defining the Speed of Light collection, adidas launch a limited edition update of the world’s lightest football boot. 99g of stylised innovation.
This here is the lightest football boot on the market, weighing at around half the weight of a regular football boot, less than an iPhone 6. Just 299 pairs of the updated adidas 99g boots have been released, each individually numbered on the heel and each constructed using a 1mm polyamide outsole, designed to reduce weight whilst maintaining the rigidity to perform at the highest level. 
An advanced lightweight one-layer PU mesh provides the upper material and the boot also features a skeleton inner-construction to maintain stability and support, whilst a unique stud layout ensures fastest possible movements in all directions. Featherlight innovation taken to the very limits of lightweight design without compromising performance. It quite simply can't get any lighter than this right now. If you're lucky enough to secure a pair, don't panic when the box feels empty.
A year on from the original 99g boot that launched in 2015, the update has been created in adidas’ adizero speed range and rigorously tested for tear strength and abrasions.
