The evoTOUCH Pro marked a new chapter of football footwear design for PUMA when it joined the evoPOWER and evoSPEED in July. It was the brand's first adventure into the hi-collared boot game after biding their time to see how the technology fitted within their concepts. Two months on and the safe launch colourway is joined by a more experimental secondary drop.
First thing's first, the upper of the new paint job ain't white, more of a dirty cream colour, "Birch" to be precise. It's not as clean as the launch colourway but it does show off the suppleness of the leather with its creases and texture. PUMA have retained the bright "Safety Yellow" evoKNIT sock, a feature that immediately identifies the boot as an evoTOUCH and a calls out the new technology with pride. The first demonstration of what the evoTOUCH will look like going forward and even if we're not sold on this colour combo it's leaving us intrigued for when PUMA start pulling out the crowd-pleasing paint pots.
Carved from a super soft, ultra-thin and lightweight leather upper, the PUMA evoTOUCH is designed to bring the foot closer to the ball to create exceptional touch in all conditions. The integrated evoKNIT knitted sock gives a snug fit, and the anti-slip GripTex arrows inside the sock lock down the foot, prevent slipping and ensure stability for the foot. Touch and comfort combine with stability, created by the new outsole with a raised SPEEDTRACK spine.
