If you still like a bit of lace on your ACE then it's the 17.1 Primeknit edition over Purecontrol for you knotted nomads. Sitting as the laced alternative to the headline next-generation ACE boot, the 17.1 Primeknit comes with its own set of bells and whistles.
Red Limit lashings and a tweaked design to that of the Purecontrol, the ACE 17.1 Primeknit features a thinner Primeknit upper and collar construction compared to the Purecontrol, a set-up adopted by a number of adidas ACE 17+ Purecontrol players. A thin layer of NSG (Non-stop grip) technology is applied to the upper for increased ball control and the adidas performance logo sits on the centre, underneath where the pull-tag from the Purecontrol has been removed.
Whereas the Purecontrol includes the introduction of BOOST technology in the sole, the ACE 17.1 Primeknit does not. A standard insole and Sprintframe outsole provide the traction and comfort. As popular on the professional pitches as the Purecontrol is, the ACE 17.1 Primeknit is by no means a take-down version of the laceless boot, simply an alternative decided by personal preference. To lace, or not to lace?
