Umbro shake things up and crack open a can of orange pop to make February fizz. Vibrant vibes are scattered across the complete Umbro silo line-up, headlined by the first colour update on the third generation Velocita boot.
The first full collection of 2017 will become Umbro's first on-pitch update of the new year too. An eye-catching display of orange-on-black is always a winning combination and Umbro proudly showcase their new look silo squad in matching makeovers. A strong statement and a fist full or fire to heat up the February frost.
The main event and the brightest orange asset of the collection is unsurprisingly Umbro's leading boot – the Velocita 3. The silo has patiently waited for a secondary colour-drop since the launch of the collared creation in November 2016 and it's arrived in the most energetic of outfits. Umbro have joined the collar movement in their own unique way and now come the aesthetic adventures.
The Medusae Pro combines the colours to create a more low-key design than the lightweight Velocita silo, but one that still packs a fruity punch of zest. The leather vamp at the front of the boot is drenched in juicy orange while a flavoursome finish sneaks through the mesh mid-foot cage for pleasing persona.
The UX Accuro mutes the orange pop by turning the lights out on the upper and pointing a double diamond spotlight to pop on the darkened backdrop. A subdued design for Umbro's comfort and control boot. A unique ‘pro-stance’ outsole stud configuration aids traction, balance & stability and a lightweight microfibre upper with a wraparound tongue construction provides a larger medial strike area. A bit of old school, these.
