It's cup final season. That month of opportunity where players become legends and careers are defined. Acknowledging the season finale and throwing their shade on the 2017 Champions League Final Nike roll out the 'Time To Shine' pack.
Set to be worn for the first time when Real Madrid take on Juventus in the 2017 Champions League Final in Cardiff on June 3, the Nike 'Time To Shine' collection is made up of Nike's leading four silos; the Mercurial, Magista, Hypervenom and Tiempo. Summer vibes fill the theme of the collection with the colourway representing the sun setting on the season while the metallic silver Swooshes represent the silverware being lifted.
The Mercurial Superfly V and Hypervenom Phantom 3 headline the collection with bold colours and sharp aesthetics while the Magista Obra II and Tiempo Legend 6 bring a more modest approach to the 'Time To Shine' pack. It's the Mercurial that has the most standout game due to it's modified graphic on the instep of the boot; the iconic Swoosh logo is replaced with strong 'NIKE" branding, the first time Nike have done this on the fifth generation Superfly.
Layers of "Deep Royal" and "Total Crimson" wrap themselves across the uppers of all four silos with a sprinkle of stars scattered inside the Superfly Swoosh. The final move from Nike for the 2016/17 domestic season sees the Swoosh pay tribute to Europe's biggest club match and a fitting stage for the players to make their first strides in the collection. A corresponding collection that will no doubt put on a dominant visual display in the Welsh capital on June 3.
