It was pretty damn busy of boot releases considering the absence of a major international tournament. New silos, next-gen updates and plenty of limited edition drops thrown in for good measure. 25 | New Balance Visaro Vante – New Balance created their own limited edition noise by dropping a modified version of their Visaro 2.0 silo titled the 'Vante' edition. Streamlined with low-key feels. Stripped.
24 | Under Armour Spotlight Pro – Under Armour ripped up the football boot design manual by introducing zips to their Spotlight silo. A decision that's yet to reveal whether they're piecing back together that manual or zipping with zest. No more bunny ears.
23 | Umbro Medusae II Elite – Umbro joined the hi-collared movement to freshen up their on-pitch line-up ahead of the new 2017/18 season by launching the Medusae II Elite. Knitted.
22 | adidas X 17.1 "Pure Stealth" – Adding more fuel to their Limited Collection fire adidas dropped a brown and gold edition of the X 17.1. Titled "Pure Stealth" the colourway gave an old school vibe on feet. Dirty.
21 | Nike x EA Sports Hypervenom 3 – More limited edition magic from Nike. To mark the launch of FIFA 18 Nike collaborated with EA Sports for a second link-up inspired by the game. Not as tasty as the original. Virtual vibes.
20 | adidas "Thunderstorm" Pack – Clouds gathered as the end of summer saw adidas roll out the "Thunderstorm" Pack. A more toned down collection that found its way onto the feet of Three Striped pros. Bit overcast to excite, but smart nonetheless. Rumble.
19 | PUMA One Lux – PUMA's youngest silo took on an early treatment of exclusivity by donning a leather suit in limited edition style. The 'Lux' was taken in for a premium transformation of evoKNIT nature. Pimped.
18 | adidas ACE 17.1 "Magnetic Control" – Sitting beside the "Pure Stealth" colourway as adidas served up limited edition game on their laced options was the ACE 17.1 "Magnetic Control". Shiny.
17 | Mizuno Rebula V1 – Mizuno made their first moves of the new season by launching a brand new silo to replace the Wave Ignitus series. The Rebula V1 arrived in a "Made In Japan" wrap and modest vibes. Konnichiwa.
16 | Nike "Academy" Pack – Nothing new as we've seen the Academy Pack before, and being launched so close to the Tech Craft Pack took the shine off a little. But, still, blackouts across the board are always welcomed. Schooled.
15 | Nike Premier 2.0 – With pre-season approaching Nike dropped three Premier 2.0 designs in FG soleplates to give their traditional following something to shout about. All inspired by throwback Tiempo colourways. Tonguey.
14 | Nike Tiempo Legend 7 – The seventh generation of the Nike Tiempo Legend arrived with knitted technology for the very first time on the lounge area. Progressive innovation from the Swoosh. Future.
13 | adidas Nemeziz 17+ "Solar Yellow" – Mixing things up away from the pack releases, adidas gave an exclusive "Solar Yellow" update to the Nemeziz 17+ 360 Agility. Buzzing.
12 | Nike "Rising Fast" Pack – The Nike packs kept on coming as the brand released the "Rising Fast" collection to be worn on pitch by all of their players born in 1995 or after. Kids.
11 | Nike "Light Aqua" Pack – Nike's first Women's exclusive pack of the new season arrived with aqua tones as the Swoosh served up a stunning collection that soaked the Mercurial, Hypervenom, Magista & Tiempo. Wavey.
10 | Nike "Lock In Let Loose" Pack – The first boot collection of the new season arrived as the Nike "Lock In Let Loose" Pack which would be on the feet of all leading Nike players when the season kicked off. Loaded.
9 | PUMA evoPOWER Vigor 1 Graphic – PUMA turned on their famous graphic game on the new evoPOWER Vigor 1 and slipped it onto the feet of Olivier Giroud and Cesc Fabrgeas to kick off the new season. Power Party.
8 | Nike Mercurial Neymar – The king to be. Neymar got his signature recognition as Nike dropped an exclusive Mercurial design to mark his incredible achievements to date. He packed them straight in his bag for Paris. Merci.
7 | Nike "Tech Craft" Pack – Nike continued their popular Tech Craft series in early August as they wrapped their full silo collection in layers of leather for a traditional feel and blackout design. Seen before but still smart AF. Leathered.
6 | adidas "Magnetic Storm" Pack – adidas were back in black to mix up their pre-season options by rolling out all back editions of the ACE 17+ Purecontrol, X 17+ Purespeed and Nemeziz 17+ with magnetic-styled stripes. Understated.
5 | Nike Tiempo Legend 7 "Black Platinum" – Nike kicked off the summer with the lights off as they teased their seventh generation Tiempo series with a limited run on "Black Platinum" boots. 100 pairs to be precise. Dark.
4 | adidas "Ocean Storm" Pack – Dropping their first on-pitch pack of the 2017/18 season, adidas introduced the "Ocean Storm" collection across the ACE, X and Nemeziz. Splash.
3 | Nike Mercurial Superfly CR7 Chapter 5 – Cristiano Ronaldo sat everyone down to read out his fifth chapter as the final release of summer. Inspired by his move to Real Madrid ,the boot was titled as the "Cut to Brilliance" edition. Siiiiii.
2 | Nike Mercurial Vapor Flyknit Ultra – Arguably the most hyped boot of summer arrived in the form of the Mercurial Vapor Flyknit Ultra. The first Vapor to feature Flyknit tech and launched in limited numbers. Swoosh.
1 | adidas Predator Precision – Hold that 'most hyped boot' tag. The adidas Predator Precision smashed summer into pieces with an almost identical upper to the original. Limited editions don't come much better. Becks.
