adidas Launch The Glitch 18 "CopaSkin"

Pulling their most advanced football boot concept back through the archives, adidas dress the Glitch 18 silo in an outerskin inspired by the most iconic of Three Striped football boots – the adidas Copa Mundial.

Landing as one half of the new "Moment Skins" Pack the Copa Mundial design celebrates the boot that first arrived on the scene at the 1982 World Cup in Spain. The other half of the new pack brings more recent World Cup game to the table by paying tribute to Leo Messi's F50 adizero boot worn in 2010.

The CopaSkin comes in a black aesthetic with white stripes and a white soleplate to replicate the original Copa Mundial that's still going strong today. The laceless design features a K-Leather vamp at the front of the foot to honour the traditional feel of the famed Copa.

The Glitch has served as the experimental silo for adidas, with numerous eccentric designs throwing themselves across the outerskins, but there's something just as pleasing as seeing a strong traditional stance as we have here.
