PUMA enter the 2018 World Cup race by turning up to the start line with a duo of next-generation silos. The "Illuminate Pack" opens up to reveal the Future 2.1 and ONE 1, both wrapped in a delicious dressing of iridescent magic.

Drenched in an energetic colourway that will stand strong in Russia this summer, the Future 2.1 builds on the success of the first-generation boot that launched in late 2017. See that subtle membrane graphic that runs across the upper? That's a nod to the creative players that will wear the boots – the likes of Marco Reus, Antoine Griezmann, and Marko Arnautovic.

The second-generation features a few upgrades while maintaining the impressive NetFit technology from the launch series. The NetFit tech allows players to lace up the boots any way they please in order to find the perfect fit and lock-down need. The NetFit concept is refined and improved as each lace hole is now more closely spaced and applied over a larger area of the upper for even more lacing possibilities.

In the strike zone the NETFIT is covered and protected by a TPU skin, the vacuum process that is applied to this area creates a strong x-ray of the net that adds to the grip and touch of the boot. The evoKNIT sock has been further enhanced in the FUTURE 2.1 by updating the socks specifically placed cuts and ribbing textures, providing a secure fit around the ankle that allows the wearer to react quickly and remain agile.
