Designed to reflect Pogba’s personality and creativity both on and off the pitch, the latest collaboration features a re-designed adidas Predator 18+ football boot which will be worn by the 2018 World Cup winner when he returns to domestic action with United this weekend to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
A team of adidas designers worked closely alongside Pogba to ensure the new Season IV Collection Predator 18+ design represents his creativity and sense of style. The laceless silhouette boasts a "Black/Olive" cameo-esque upper on a gold soleplate with red to gold stripes proving a splash of added colour.
Signature 'PP' branding features on the tip of the Purecut collar whilst Pogba's name is finished int he original Predator font on the inside of the collar. Replacing the Season III collection that launched in May this year, the fourth drop is the first design for Pogba to wear as a World Champion.
Pogba and Messi are the only two adidas footballers to own a consistent signature boot series as the Three Stripes lean on Pogba's personality and streetwear characteristics, and Messi's sheer super-human ability. A nice blend, that.
Does the Pogba collection have that audacity factor that say the Beckham series packed? Not yet perhaps. But this is a different generation entirely. Time is on Pogba's side and so are the tools at his disposal. After all, he's already won the World Cup. He scored in the damn final. Worthy.
