Main man Mané. New Balance have dished out the signature treatment to one of the Premier League's most electric forwards and their leading name to carry the brand amongst Europe's elite. Sadio Mané takes on a limited edition Furon 4.0 that celebrates his Senegalese roots.
New Balance worked closely with Mané on the Furon 4.0 ‘Bambaly’ boot, which is named after the Senegalese village where the Liverpool man grew up. Honouring his Senegalese heritage with a stand out colourway that is inspired by the national flag, the 'Bambaly' edition will be worn on pitch by Mané himself in the coming weeks.
Mané’s stock has risen significantly over the last 12 months, thanks mostly to being part of one of the most devastating attacks in Europe last season. His goal in the Champions League Final along with his performances at the World Cup helped to propel the African Footballer of the Year nominee into the global spotlight, and New Balance have been quick to act on his increased profile with a drop that is pure recognition for his immense year.
The Furon 4.0 ‘Bambaly’ blends red from the forefoot back through yellow and finally into the green of the heel, with the same colours appearing on the impressive matte soleplate. The collar, tongue, laces and ’N’ logo all appear in stand out green, with the Senegal flag taking pride of place at the top of the tongue. As a finisher, the heel features ‘Sadio Mané 10’.
That personalisation is permanent by the way. Yep, each and every pair released will already feature that. What's more, the 'Bambaly' Furon 4.0 will only be released in a limited run of size 8 (UK) – Mané's size – and only 90 pairs will be available globally from tomorrow (27/11) so get scrambling.
