Ada Hegerberg Receives Special Edition Ballon d'Or PUMA Boots

Following her historic win at this year’s Ballon d’Or Awards, PUMA have rewarded Ada Hegerberg with her own custom ONE boot, decked out in gold and carrying the message “Believe In Yourself.”

This year’s Ballon d’Or saw the first-ever and long overdue female category for the award, and Lyon’s Norwegian striker scooped the prize after scoring an astonishing 31 goals in 29 games. The 23 year-old is already a three-time Champions League winner with Lyon and she's sure to have her sights set on more glory.

Hegerberg closed her acceptance speech at the Ballon d'Or awards by saying: “I want to end with a message to all young girls in the world: Believe in yourselves.” And it’s this message that PUMA have placed on the instep of the special boot, while her name and the Norwegian flag appear on the medial side. It's unlikely that Hegerberg will wear these boots on pitch, more likely they'll just sit next to her big shiny golden ball.
