Taking inspiration from 2005 for the latest flavour of Glitch goodness, adidas launch the F50 Skin, which pays homage to the F50+ ‘Spider’. Retro vibes combined with a modern tweak, the Three Stripes continue to keep their disruptive silo feeling fresh.
Launching at the same time as the Glitch19 Absolute Skin, which recreates the aesthetic of the 2006 Predator Absolute, the latest F50 skin doesn’t so much recreate the look of the F50+ ‘Spider’ as take inspiration from it, offering a homage to the 2005 classic. The ‘Spider’ graphics are apparent in the colourway and the wavy criss-cross of lines that adorn the upper, while the lack of laces offer an alternative look with the addition of the silver Three Stripes and the Glitch branding on the outstep.
The F50 line is a fairly regular pot for adidas to dip into when looking for Glitch inspiration. There’s still so much love for the now retired silo that its a virtual tap in to utilise former designs for the customisable creation that’s torn up the rules on boot design. Arjen Robben, Djibril Cisse, Jermain Defoe, and for some reason Damien Duff. That's who we think of when we see these.
