Primed and ready for the new season, Nike launch the PhantomVNM in its "New Lights" strip. It boasts an eye-catching design that’s hard to miss, with a luminous volt colourway that’s joined by some Mercurial-inspired rear foot graphics. Not one for those that want to hide on a football pitch.
The "New Lights" PhantomVNM flips the switch on the recent "Under the Radar" release, inverting its colourway for an all-round more striking impact. This, after all, is the one that the Nike contracted players will be wearing on pitch when the 19/20 season gets underway. The PhantomVNM is joined, as always, by its partner in crime, the PhantomVSN, which also takes up a volt look, but where it sits on a white soleplate, the VNM takes up black. Further black detailing is present internally and on the collar, and then on the iridescent Swoosh, which has been directly lifted from the ‘Under the Radar’ release.
The "New Lights" pack debuted with the launch of the new Mercurial Vapor XIII and Superfly VII, and the PhantomVNM pays homage to that fact by using the same "Just Do It" graphic overlay on the rear foot. It also features the word "Phantom", along with "Nike Football" in several different languages, tying it nicely to the Mercurial. All-round, while it may not hold the same appeal of the ‘Under the Radar’ release, this is going to be a hard one to miss on pitch when the season kicks off.
