Nike have dropped a duo of Premier II colourways wrapped in coats of nostalgia as they brush up their heritage silo for autumn. With pitches across Europe getting wetter the Swoosh have launched an Anti-Clog edition of the silo in a classic "Black/White/Volt" combination.
Inspired by the colourway that appeared on the Tiempo IV back in 2013, the update joins the "White/Black" release which borrows vibes from the EURO 2012 'Clash Collection' edition. A clean all black upper and white Swoosh are finished by that famous blast of "Volt" on the tongue, laces and insole to create a solid, trusted Tiempo look.
The original colourway on the Tiempo IV was worn by the likes of Sergio Ramos, Gerard Pique, Jerome Boateng and Andrea Pirlo at the beginning of 2013, and the inspiration for the Premier II is obvious. The introduction of a classic fold-over tongue provides a slight twist on the aesthetic of a boot that still, impressively, drops in with a £90 price tag. Less than half the price of most top end Nike boots, and absolutely not half the quality. The Premier II on an Anti-Clog soleplate is a winter essential.
