Nike make their first moves of October by taking their Premier II silo in for a couple of retro-infused colour updates. The first of which drops in a wrap that's inspired by the Tiempo Legend IV 'Clash Collection' colourway which was released as part of the boot line-up worn by all Nike players in the 2012 European Championship in Poland and Ukraine.
On a day where the Swoosh dipped into their archives to release a throwback flavoured Premier League Hi-Vis Merlin Ball, the "White/Black" Premier II update follows the trend by taking on one of the most iconic designs to grace the Tiempo Legend IV series. That split black and white design is lifted off the original and placed onto the upper of the Premier II to create a timeless vibe that packs a punch of nostalgia.
Yeah, it might trigger nightmares of Andrea Pirlo dinking his penalty past Joe Hart to knock England out of the Quarter Final, but it's a simple look that will forever look sharp on pitch. Nike have also released another throwback design alongside the "White/Black" colourway as the "Black/White/Volt" combination is also taken from the Tiempo Legend IV series for another low-key but stylish update.
The EURO 2012 'Clash Collection' was worn by all Nike athletes at the tournament that summer, and the Tiempo Legend IV was joined by different coloured Mercurial, CTR and T90 silos, all with a clean white front. Black heel, white toe-box, classic fold over tongue. Not a lot to dislike here, especially when you consider you're getting change from a ton.
