The Swoosh have invited the VNM series into their most premium of leather labs to undergo a transformation of tradition as the 'Tech Craft' collection welcomes in a brand new silo. The brand's most advanced shooting boot stripped back to black with a full leather wrap. Oh, go on then.
Following on from the 'Tech Craft' Mercurial Vapor which launched last month, the PhantomVNM follows the same colour theme with an all black base and subtle bronze Swoosh and branding. While the standard PhantomVNM uses a super-light one-piece Flyknit upper with a moulded and dimpled micro-texture on the toe area to aid your first touch the Tech Craft version translates these features into leather. The dimples and injected blades on the striking zone remain, but they've been blessed with a K-leather makeover for a more traditional feel while respecting the DNA of the VNM.
Nike have in the past created Tech Craft versions of the Mercurial, Hypervenom, Tiempo and Magista and now the VNM has been given the exclusive treatment which always results in sold out signs. Nike usually roll out the Tech Craft collection as one release but this season they've broken things up, giving players hope that a leather PhantomVSN might still be in the works.
