As we plough headlong into the darkness of the winter months and things get bleaker outside, Nike have given the LunarGato II two vibrant paint jobs for AW19 to brighten up the small-sided icon. A street football favourite, the second generation LunarGato strides on with typical Nike flair.

The LunarGato II – Nike’s dedicated small-sided silo – made its welcome return to the scene back at the beginning of the year, and the Swoosh continue to cement its position as king of the cage with two fresh new colourways. First up is the “White/Anthracite/Electric Green” combination which arrives as the boldest of the duo. The split upper is present once more, with the rear of the shoe taking the punchy “Electric Green” colouring, offset by the white of the forefoot. But it’s on the flip side that things get a bit wild, with all three colours being scattered on the sole in an eye-catching design.

The “Platinum Tint/Black/Bright Crimson” veers away from the split colouring across the upper that’s dominated most of the colour releases for the LunarGato so far, instead leaving the upper almost entirely in the “Platinum Tint” colouring and using the “Bright Crimson” on the outsole for a more understated vibe.

The LunarGato II continues to reign supreme in the small-sided arenas, with durable goat-leather at the forefoot for a smooth, natural feel and precision strikes, and Hyperfused mesh panels in the midfoot for structure and breathability. The reinforced vamp enhances the superb ball feel for ultimate touch plus extra durability, while Lunarlon cushioning and an articulated traction pattern create a springy, responsive ride for quick cuts.
