Umbro Launch The Whiteout Speciali Pro 98

It doesn’t matter how much Mr Muscle you have, fact is that things don’t get much cleaner than this. We’re talking, of course, about Umbro launching the Speciali Pro 98 in a whiteout edition, offering the iconic silo a fresh new appeal for the modern day.

The Umbro Speciali carved out its reputation as one of the most premium boots of the 90s on the feet of players such as Alan Shearer and Michael Owen, and that was typified by the latter’s performance at the 1998 World Cup in France. Now, fresh off of releasing some of the best kits of the 2019/20 season, further cementing their position as replica royalty, Umbro launch the iconic Speciali Pro 98 in a completely clean, whiteout look.

The fresh new paint job lands on the same classic canvas from ’98, so we’re still treated to that sumptuous K-leather vamp and traditional stitching across the vamp, combined with that unmistakeable fold-over tongue. It provides the perfect package of premium performance combined with a lick of ‘90s nostalgia that’s so in demand right now. Back in ’98, wearing these probably would’ve been worthy of a good kicking, but these days it’s far more acceptable. Question is, do you really want to muddy these up? Possibly ones for the mantlepiece, these.
