Umbro Launch The Novem Pro For Paolo Guerrero

As something of a talisman for the people of Peru, Umbro have provided Paolo Guerrero with his very own boot and clothing collection. Based on his feedback, the Novem Pro has been custom made for Guerrero, with a design that's inspired by the man himself.

Umbro are committed to promoting football around the globe as part of its ‘This Is Our Game’ strategy, and over the past 20 years they have had a particularly strong influence in Peru. As their work in the South American country moves from strength to strength they’ve created the Novem Pro; a custom boot for one of their prime Peruvian players, Paolo Guerrero.

The Internacional striker has been known to wear specially customised Velocitas in the past, notably at last year’s Copa America and in Inter’s Copa do Brasil final appearance against Athletico Paranaense last year, and that vibe has been carried across to his new boot. The Novem – nine in latin – features an aesthetic that celebrates Guerrero’s unique personality and Peruvian roots. The graphic is inspired by his tattoos and ancient Inca artwork and it creates a striking visual wrapping around the rear of the boot and the outsole with the iconic number ‘9’ prominently featured.

Using a new high-density engineering fabric, the Novem Pro features a soft and flexible vamp for an excellent first touch and an adaptable fit that conforms to the shape of the foot. An offset lace increases the strike zone on the medial side and combined with customised 3D ‘touch control’ pods allows for better control, precision and power. A unique ‘U-fit’ collar construction provides additional support and security without comprising comfort. A boot made for finishing.

The Novem Pro is complemented by a full apparel and footwear collection, including tees, jackets, shorts and shoes, all featuring designs and colours that have been carried across from the Pro boot.

Unfortunately at present the Novem Pro is exclusively available in Peru only, but you can see the full collection here.
