Nike are all set up for a seasonal return to the game by launching their next on-pitch collection drenched in summer vibes. While there'll be no EURO 2020 pack anymore, what we do have is statement designs that make up the second 'Future Lab' drop.

Following on from the first collection that launched in January in lashings of "Laser Crimson", the 'Future Lab II' pack features more of a split design with the Mercurial Superfly and Vapor landing in "White/Laser Crimson/Black" while the Phantom twins of the VSN and VNM take on a "Green Strike/Black" combination. No Tiempo in this drop though, Nike presumably have other plans there.

Yeah, this pack has made the long wait for football that bit more impatient. It wouldn't be summer without a crisp white Mercurial; white boots are the OG of fast football, and when the 2019/20 season recommences this colourway will be worn on the feet of all contracted Nike Mercurial professionals, so expect to see it on the likes of Kylian Mbappé and Cristiano Ronaldo. If the "Laser Crimson" of the 'Future Lab I' was too bold, this flipped version is bang on. Superfly or Vapor?

The Phantom VNM carries a little bit more than just a fresh colourway. If you feel like this colour combination looks familiar then you'd be right; we're talking about the Nike T90 Laser III "Electric Green/Black/Red" edition from way back in 2009. We're talking Wayne Rooney & Fernando Torres taking the nets off Premier League goalposts. The T90 edition was laid to rest in 2013 when the Hypervenom was introduced, and the Hypervenom has since evolved into the Phantom VNM series, hence the link here with this colourway.

The Phantom VSN loses the flashes of red, but cuts perhaps the smartest overall aesthetic in an eye-catching combo of that vibrant "Green Strike" alongside platinum and black detailing. Nike are ready to roll.
