Getting ready for the return of football on grassroots pitches across the globe, adidas once again return to the cover of darkness for the ‘Dark Motion’ pack, dressing out the Predator Mutator 20+, COPA 20+, and Nemeziz 19+ in black, with flashes of individual colour. No sign of the X here though…
Bringing levels of appeal to the masses, Adidas once again return to the tried and tested realms of darkness, wrapping three of its main four silos in black, but providing each with a hint of identifying colour. And the omission of the X in the lineup simply lends weight to the suggestion of an imminent arrival for the next-gen version of that boot…
And so the ‘Dark Motion’ rolls in to town as a trio, and it’s no less appealing for it. This pack is not one you’ll see under the bright lights of professional pitches; it’s for the return of the game we all love at a level we all play.
First up, the Predator Mutator 20+ sees the black joined by hits of pink in a look that’s reminiscent of the recently released “Black/Fluro Pink” colourway, albeit with the pink hits toned down and restricted to the heel and Primeknit collar.
For the COPA 20+, it’s a similar green to the ‘Locality Pack’ look, but once again it’s restricted to only the soleplate, leaving the upper as a sleek all black suit of seduction. The only hint of colour is on the ‘COPA’ wording on the heel – even the Three Stripes bow to the uniform shadow.
And completing the trio is the Nemeziz 19+, which takes a fiery orange as its identifying colour, but it only travels through the forefoot of the soleplate, fading to black for the rest of the boot, with the bandage design literally making the Nemeziz look like it’s enveloped in darkness.
As previously mentioned, don't expect to see this on the feet of the pros – this is a look that's reserved for the game when it returns on our local pitches. Expect adidas to be unveiling a new on-pitch pack soon though...
