Sticking with what has now become something of a tradition, New Balance unveil the duo of Furon v6 and Tekela v3 in leather form, providing a classic option alongside the usual construction.
Once again following up their recent standard release, this time the Ignite Hype Pack, New Balance present the latest Leather Pack. Now, New Balance boots in leather is nothing new – it was only back in January that we had the last leather iterations of their lineup – but for this latest Leather Pack we see the inclusion of the Tekela v3 alongside the Furon v6, providing us with the brand’s first-ever laceless leather boot, and both are once again presented in a traditional black base, opening up the appeal to those who enjoy a classic feel and fit.
First up, the Tekela v3 is introduced in an ultra-clean black colourway, with striking Black and Dynomite accents. It still boasts the full foot stretch-knit upper with integrated Hypoknit and laceless closure for secure lock-down, and it’s all contained within the premium leather upper – including K-leather in the vamp for improved touch and feel.
The Furon, meanwhile, also boasts a premium leather upper, with the same tech callouts that have featured previously. While New Balance athletes such as Sadio Mané will remain in the standard editions, the leather versions will once again prove popular at grass roots level thanks to their reliable feel and low-key vibes.
